I didn&#039;t make it clear that I did look at InstantRails; but I have a well-established Apache setup, and I didn&#039;t want anything blatting it with a vanilla override (is that a mixed metaphor?).  What I have now works well for me, and in the end was simple to set up.  The pain was in having, and then letting go of, Cygwin ...

		<description><![CDATA[Maybe &quot;Instant Rails&quot; will suit your needs?  I&#039;ve not used it.  When I did rails stuff under cygwin last, I didn&#039;t use a local apache, only webrick. And I don&#039;t use Eclipse either, being sufficiently fluent in vim to not want it.
